YOLO Board and presenting sponsor Destin Real Estate Company announce details of the 2011 YOLO Board Stand-Up Paddle Series that will run from May to August 2011 at the WaterColor BoatHouse at Western Lake in WaterColor. The race series consists of male and female teams competing relay style in two divisions, Beginning and Next Level (men’s), over the course of four races for the champion title “2011 YOLO Board Cup Series” to be awarded after the final race in August. The beloved community event showcases a wide spectrum of local faces with teams representing anything from the South Walton Fire District Lifeguards to real estate agents to area chefs. Various levels of sponsorship opportunities are available for businesses or individuals wishing to participate in the 2011 series.
“We look forward to the YOLO Board Stand-Up Paddle series each season,” adds Tom Losee, co-founder of YOLO Board. “The race series is our opportunity to give back to our local supporters and to showcase the great competitors we have within our community that have a big love for SUP. We have a lot of exciting things planned for this year’s series and we can’t wait to get out on the water with everyone in May.”
Scheduled race dates (weather permitting) are: May 26th, June 23rd, July 14th and August 11th. The series will be held exclusively at the WaterColor BoatHouse in WaterColor. A one-time race entry fee is $240 per four-person relay team ($60 per person) for the Beginner division and $180 per three-person relay team ($60 per person) for the Next Level division. Complimentary 2011 signature event t-shirts will be provided for each participating team.
